Whew!
Sorry I haven’t updated. I had finals to wrap up,
spent a week sunbathing in Mexico, and have just started my new job with
the Illinois Natural History Survey, tracking turtles. It’s hard work,
but I really like where I am. I absolutely LOVE turtles, and it makes me
so happy just to be dealing with them.
Sorry, no pictures from the field yet, it’s pretty
impossible to take a digital camera with you when your sinking
waist-deep in mud and water and being whipped by cattails.
I will entertain you with a few pictures from
Mexico, however. We took a total of 520 pictures and videos, about 1.54
GB. I know, we’re insane – but we had a GREAT time and want to remember
our experience forever!
If I may, I also want to make some movie
suggestions. See “The DaVinci Code,” and please, please, please see Al
Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” about global warming. Two highly
interesting subjects that you won’t regret seeing.
More to come later, intermittently, I’m afraid.
Hope everyone’s enjoying the start of summer!
One last thing...tonight, I finally got provoked
enough to start writing the article that I have always wanted to put on
this website. And if this doesn't get your attention, then I pray for
you. Read the start of my article on the Health section,
"High
Fructose Corn Syrup is Going to Kill You (Among Other Things)"
